Rainbow organized the first Central American and Caribbean delegation to China.

From September 5 to September 12, 2013, Rainbow organized the first Central American and Caribbean delegation to visit China. The group was conformed by relevant agrochemical officials from 2 Central American countries and the Dominican Republic that currently do not have diplomatic relations with China. 

On Sep 6, 2013, the delegation visited the laboratory of ICAMA (the Institute for the Control of Agrochemicals, Ministry of Agriculture) and its central offices in Beijing where they had a friendly talk and the chance to discuss Agrochemicals in depth. 

The attendees of the visiting delegation were: Mr Ramón Arturo Escobar Carcamo, Deputy-minister of the MOA (SAG) from Honduras; Mr Enerio Augusto Barrientos, Deputy-director of Pesticide registrations and Mr Jorge Antonio Matos Berges, Technical Assistant and Evaluator of the MOA from the Dominican Republic; Mr Marvin Humberto Cruz, Regulatory Coordinator and Inspector for Pesticides in MAGFOR and Mrs Faviola Jeronima Aragon Araya, Evaluator and Assistant of the Director of Pesticides Registration in MAGFOR from Nicaragua. 

Mr Sui Pengfei, Director of ICAMA, Mr Gu Baogen, Deputy-Director of ICAMA and the five Chiefs of Import & Export Division, Residue Division, Quality Control Division, Pesticide Registration Division and Law Enforcement & Supervision Division of ICAMA attended the meeting. 

During the meeting, the Director of ICAMA, Mr Sui delivered an important speech, expressing the warm welcome to the delegation, encouraging more communication between the respective countries in order to strengthen the cooperation between each other and form a friendly and professional partnership. The Deputy-Director of ICAMA, Mr Gu Baogen introduced ICAMA and Pesticide Management in China; the Chief of Import & Export Division from ICAMA, Mr Zhang Wenjun introduced the Control of Pesticide Import and Export in China.

After visiting the laboratory, at the end of the meeting, Mr Ramón Escobar, in the name of the whole delegation, delivered a speech, expressing their thanks to ICAMA and Rainbow, emphasizing their admiration for the quick development of the agrochemical industry and the important role of the government to support and control the agrochemical industry in China, expressing the belief in the well and safe development of the agrochemical industry in China.

During the one week-long stay in China, the delegation also visited Rainbow’s manufacturing complex. They had the opportunity to learn more about the automatic production control procedure, the safety systems and quality control center, the automatic packaging workshop, and many other things, which   represent and also exceed current Chinese modern and efficient Agrochemical production, helping to strengthen their confidence in agrochemical products from China.  

The delegation also visited the capital Beijing, the commercial center in Shanghai, which helped them to know and understand more about China, their people and culture.

Rainbow, a leading Agrochemical manufacturer, feels very honored having had the opportunity to show the Chinese Agrochemical industry and China to the friends from above countries. We hope that this visit will help to understand each other better, to cooperate more with each other and to develop together a saver future for all.
